As Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Mike Hubnik oversees a diverse portfolio of Wischermann Partners’ hotel assets. The properties range from a small boutique luxury hotel to large convention hotels with up to 60,000 square feet of function space. The brands include The Luxury Collection, Le Meridien, Westin and Sheraton.
Mike is responsible for the overall sales management and strategy to maximize topline revenue and client retention. He works with other cross functional leaders of Wischermann Partners to ensure that business planning and execution align in order to reach short-term and long-term goals for each property. His direct primary responsibilities include: Topline revenue production, profit maximization, contract negotiation, sales talent acquisition and development, ownership communication, client relationship management, and budget management. Mike is also leading the pre-opening sales and marketing efforts for multiple WP properties. During these periods, Mike guides the implementation of needed sales and catering systems as well as the required training for the property teams.
Prior to his current role, he was appointed as the Director of National Sales for Wischermann Partners, responsible for managing corporate and association markets on behalf of The Luxury Collection, Le Meridien, Westin, and Sheraton-brand properties to build and maintain business relationships in order to capitalize revenue opportunities and achieve high level of client satisfaction and retention.
Mike Hubnik holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin, and has held various management positions in sales and marketing for Marriott, Hyatt, and Starwood Hotels during his 15-year career. Prior to the hotel industry, Mike worked for Carlson Marketing Group, where he managed corporate business and incentive marketing events internationally and domestically for client companies such as Merrill Lynch, Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Abbot Labs, Shell Oil, Morgan Stanley, Daimler Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, IBM, Sun Microsystems, and Fuji.
