Regional Director of Operations

 

In his role as Regional Director of Operations, Benjamin supports operational performance across the company’s portfolio, working closely with property leaders to strengthen financial results, elevate guest satisfaction, develop high-performing teams, and uphold brand and company standards.

Benjamin brings two decades of hospitality leadership experience spanning hotel operations, property openings, organizational development, and revenue growth in highly competitive markets. Beginning his hospitality career as a bellman, he advanced through a variety of operational and leadership positions before moving into General Manager and regional leadership roles. Throughout his career, Benjamin has led the opening and operation of luxury, full-service, select-service, and dual-branded hotels across diverse markets, with much of his career spent in New York City, while also supporting operations in secondary markets. He has built and developed high-performing teams, introduced new operating systems and service cultures, overseen complex budgets and capital projects, and delivered measurable improvements in revenue, market position, and guest satisfaction. His breadth of experience gives him a practical understanding of hotel operations and a genuine appreciation for the associates who create memorable guest experiences each day.

Most recently, Benjamin served as General Manager of Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph. During his tenure, the hotel was recognized as the top-performing Le Méridien in North America for guest satisfaction for five consecutive years, received Marriott’s Chairman’s Award, and was ranked the No. 1 hotel in Ohio in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings. Benjamin’s professional recognition also includes the Spirit to Serve Award, a nomination for the JW Marriott Award of Excellence, and selection by Hotel Management as one of its Top 30 General Managers to Watch.

Benjamin holds a Master of Business Administration from Ashland University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Arts from Stephens College, where he graduated cum laude.

Outside of work, Benjamin enjoys spending time with his family. He is also actively involved in his community as a Cub Scout leader and youth soccer coach.
